<br />001738 <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />-6- <br /> <br />NED components which were eliminated in the second level specification <br /> <br />are as follows: <br /> <br />(l) increased or more efficient production of agricultural prod?cts <br />within the corridor was eliminated because: <br /> <br />(a) most land in the corridor with cropland capability is <br /> <br />currently being cropped. <br /> <br />(b) most corridor cropland is presently being utilized to maximum <br /> <br />economic efficiency. <br /> <br />(2) increased or more efficient production of mineral resources was <br /> <br />eliminated because there are presently no known valuable mineral <br /> <br />resources of significance in the corridor. <br /> <br />(3) increased or more efficient power production was eliminated because <br /> <br />the only power site withdrawals within the corridor are presently <br /> <br />being revoked, and it is believed that wild and scenic river <br /> <br />designation will not conflict with any anticipated energy developments. <br /> <br />(4) increased or more efficient hunting and fishing were eliminated <br /> <br />because it is either in conflict with other uses of the area or the <br /> <br />increased opportunities are already part of management programs <br /> <br />for the area. <br /> <br />EQ components which were identified in the second level specification <br /> <br />are as follows: <br /> <br />(1) preserve and protect 92 miles of wild river characteristics in <br /> <br />and along the Yampa River within Dinosaur National Monument and <br /> <br />" <br />! <br />, <br />~ <br />E <br />~ <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br />
