Boyle: Using a spreadsheet or ArcView script, imttre a structure does not occur in more than one
aggregated group, If an aggregated parcel cannot be added to an aggregated group by revising the
aggregated group boundary (e,g. it appears as an island within another group), assign the land to the
aggregated group where most acreage occurs.
,3,. Boyle: Locate nodes representing the aggregated irrigation structures within the river network by
developing an overlay of area tributary to an aggregated irrigation structure using the map
developed in Tasks 3.02 as the basis, For budgeting purposes, assume one aggregated irrigation
node will be added for every 3 baseflow nodes, In the Yampa Basin there are 72 base flow nodes,
therefor approximately 24 aggregated irrigation structures are expected, Present draft aggregated
irrigation node locations to the State in map fonn, Revise aggregated irrigation node locations
based on State comments. Assign names and ids consistent with established naming conventions to
the aggregation nodes and structures,
4. Boyle: Execute the ArcView script provided by the STATE and tabulate the crop types associated
with an aggregated group for use in Task 3.09.
5. Boyle: Add to the Task 3,02 ArcView map to clearly show the aggregations of irrigated lands (and
river nodes where their diversions will be represented), Print a 24 by 36 inch copy of the map.
6, Boyle: Prepare a Task Memorandum describing the results of the previous step. The memo should
tabulate the structures represented by each aggregation in a table generated by Arc View, organized
as follows:

.

Group 1
Aggregated structure location: (describe network position)
Associated structures:
ID Location Structure # Comment
Group 2
Aggregated structure location: (describe network position)
Associated structures:
ID Location Structure # Comment
The memo should describe special cases where the grouping required engineering judgment or
otherwise did not conform to the criteria listed under Task 3,03.01. A copy of the map produced in
Task 3.03,02 should be included. It is expected that the memo will be 3 pages or less in length,
excluding the figure and table.

7. Boyle: Make the Task Memorandum available to the State and to the Division Engineer for review.
Hold a half day meeting or telephone call with the Division Engineer to review the aggregation.
For budgeting purposes, assume that review will take place in a meeting in Denver, and will be
combined with the Division review of Task 3.05; if circumstances require a meeting at the Division

Phase IlIa Scope of Services

1161

A-23

Jan 31, 1997
