<br />_t .. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Exhibit A cont. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Task 1 - Introduction Section <br /> <br />Responsibility: Contractor <br /> <br />Objective: Review readily available publications and provide an introduction to the <br />feasibility study and the study area in sufficient detail to allow the report to stand by <br />itself. <br /> <br />Approach: <br />1. Draft Introduction Section: Review readily available publications and prepare a <br />draft report section. This section should describe, at a minimum the following: <br /> <br />. The Study Purpose, <br /> <br />. Scope of Report, <br />. A Decision Support System, including description of the existing Colorado <br />Decision Support System <br />. The Geographic Setting, and Geohydrologic Settings, <br /> <br />. History of Agricultural Development, and <br /> <br />. Key Water Administrative Issues such as the South Platte Compact, Ability to <br />Meet Compact Obligations, <br /> <br />. Exiting Models and Studies, <br /> <br />. Preparation of a list of key reports identified and reviewed. <br />2. Final Introduction Section: Include State and Advisory Committee comments into a <br />final report. <br /> <br />Deliverable: <br />1. List of key reports and a draft Introduction Section. <br />2. Pinal Introduction Section with State and Advisory Committee comments. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Needs Section <br /> <br />Responsibility: Contractor <br /> <br />Objective: Meet with local representatives either independently or in groups and identify <br />and describe the study area and needs that are to be met by the SPDSS. <br /> <br />Approach: <br />1. Comment Sheet: Prepare a Comment Sheet that summarizes the Needs Section <br />objective for all disciplines and solicits water resource issues that a decision support <br />system should be able to evaluate in the South Platte Basin. Copies of the Comment <br />Sheet are expected to be distributed to the local water community by representatives <br />of the SPDSS Consultant Team and Advisory Committee. <br />2. Interviews: Coordinate with the SPDSS State Management Team and Advisory <br />Committee. Set up and conduct at least 30 interviews with individuals associated <br />with local water user groups, public agencies, state representatives, etc. to discuss <br /> <br />August 1, 2001 <br /> <br />6 <br />
