<br />DWCD intends to retain other specialized consultants for technical work, such as: dam <br />design, surveying, geotechnical drilling, environmental analysis/permitting, and others as <br />needed, DWCD will retain the services of consultants as needed through "Request for <br />Qualifications" process to select the most qualified professionals. <br /> <br />PRELIMINARY SCOPE OF WORK <br />The study will be conducted in five steps: <br /> <br />I, Conduct scoping activities. The Reconnaissance Study shall be the starting point. <br /> <br />2, Evaluate water demands, water sources, storage components, and delivery components, <br />The Reconnaissance Report will provide a basis for the evaluations which will be <br />expanded or changed if appropriate. <br /> <br />3, Perform appraisal level analysis to formulate and evaluate a number of preliminary <br />alternatives for meeting the study objective, The Reconnaissance' Report will provide <br />the starting point for the analysis, There may be several iterations 'of\altematives, <br /> <br />"--.: <br /> <br />4, Select the preferred alternative, <br /> <br />i:h'., .....'_~ <br /> <br />5, Prepare a detailed feasibility level analysis of the preferred plan. <br /> <br />. ""'- .~-, <br />, .";." <br /> <br />6, Prepare a final report in accordance with the "Guidelines for Financial Assistance <br />through the Colorado Water Conservation Board Construction Fund" (CWCB <br />Construction Fund Guidelines) to document the study process and analysis, <br /> <br />Coordination with CWCB staff and Board shall occur regularly throughout the feasibility <br />study process, <br /> <br />The work tasks described below are listed in the general order that the work will be <br />accomplished, Preliminary evaluations have been prepared for nearly' all of the tasks, <br />which are presented in the Reconnaissance Report; the feasibility study will.build upon the <br />existing base of information, <br /> <br />Step I - Scoping <br /> <br />Using the Reconnaissance Report as the starting'point, evaluate the scope of the feasibility <br />study, <br /> <br />I.a.
