. . SECTION 4 - Term of offic~ of Executive Committee Members. Each member of the Executive Committee shall serve for a term of one year, or until his SUCC~ssor shall have been appointed and designated. SECTION 5 - Compensation of Executive Committee Members. The compensation to be paid to members of the Executive Committee shall be fixed, f~om time to time, by motion or resolution adopted by the Board of Directors. Compensation so fixed shall be paid said members of the Executive Committee in addition to their actual traveling, transportation and maintenance expenses when away from their respective places of residence on District business. SECTION 6 - Powers and Duties of the Executive Committee. The Executive committee shall have the following powers and duties, to-wit: (a) (b) ec) To do and perform such acts and things as may be specifically enjoine~ upon said Executive Committee by any regular or special meeting of the Board of Directors. Between regular meetings of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee shall have power and authority to make contracts for pe~sonal services and for the purchase of supplies and equipment, Provided: That no one such contract shall involve the expenditure or disbursement of more than $5,000. Between regular meetings of the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee or the President and Secretary shall have power and autho~ity to approve vouchers for any or all of the following: i. For services and expenses of engineers, draftsmen and other employees whose employment is affected under the provisions of subparagraph (B) of this SECTION VI of tt.ese By-Laws. H. For traveling, m<iintenance and other proper expenses of members of the Executive Committee, the Secretary-Engineer, the Attorney, and all other officers or employees of the District. Hi. For compensation of members of the Executive Committee as such compensation shall have been fixed previously by tt.e Board of Directors.
