The <br />various phases of the plan are identified below in order of priority: <br /> <br />1, EI Paso Countv Water Resources <br /> <br />a) Inventory of the County Water Purveyors (substantially complete) <br /> <br />",;',\ <br />'}[J <br /> <br />b) Total Aquifer Resources within the County (Determination of in-situ water supply <br />capabilities of private, county and other government lands, The determination shall <br />be coordinated with the Colorado State Engineers Office,) , <br /> <br />2, Potential Water lmoort Prolects (Evaluation of potential and proposed delivery systems <br />and associated claimed water rights) <br /> <br />3, Ootimum County Water Distribution Infrastructure (This determination is to be based on <br />the consideration of water transport, storage [surface and subsurface], exchange <br />possibilities, needs, treatment requirements, and potential sources of imported water), <br />This study phase shall include Demand Management and Water Conservation, and <br />address interconnection of systems, <br /> <br />4. Water Plan for Private Well Owners (These private wells are shallow and subject to <br />possible future depletion, The current estimated population served by these types of <br />wells is 25,000 people, The study is to address the most economical phased approach to <br />supply them with a new water source, The determination shall be coordinated with the <br />Colorado State Engineers Office) <br /> <br />5, Water Reuse Proiects (A study of the potential water supply and demands of the County, <br />and water quality requirements for different end uses and their sales/income potentiaL) <br />This study (phase?) shall include Demand Management and Water Conservation, <br /> <br />6, Svneroistic Proiects with Colorado Sorinos Utilities (An investigation of joint use projects <br />with the City of Colorado Springs in regard to surface and subsurface water storage, and <br />the conjunctive use of water sources, treatment facilities, supply and distribution <br />systems,) <br /> <br />.n <br />~ <br />
