Division of Water Resources Depanment of Natural Resources 810 9th Street, 20ci Floor Greeley, CO 80631 Subject: Giffin Reservoir No. I and No.2 Water Division I, Water District I DAMID: 010215 and 010216 Dear Mr. Dubler: The owner ofthe two Giffin Reservoir dams has retained Smith Geotechnical to provide professional services to repair the two dams. In accordance with Rule 6.A.(3), these dams are exempt from rules SA, 6, 9, and 10. In accordance with rule 6.A.(3) we are pToviding notice that the owner intends to proceed with work to repaiT the erosion on the upstream face, remove the tress and stumps from the dam, and apply riprap protection on the upstream face ofthe two dams. The owner will place fill on the upstream face and apply riprap and bedding in accordance with the attached sketch showing the work proposed. The work will be reviewed and inspected in progress by Smith Geotechnical and "AS-CONSTRUCTED" drawings will be provided after the work has been completed. Smith Geotechnical will keep the State Engineer informed with regard to the status of the work as it proceeds. Specific information on the two dams and theirlocation is as follows.
