The study
period for detennining yield shall be investigated and jointly agreed upon
following discussions between the City, CWCB, and MKE, but shall not be less
than 30 years.

Reservoir inflow shall be established for the longest period that can
reasonably be achieved to pennit an evaluation of annual average maximum and
minimum storage content that is not unduly influenced by the critically dry
period for recreational and fish and wildlife purposes.

~

An anlysis of daily water production, maximum supply rate, peak consumption,
required fire flow, and minimum storage requirements shall lie made and
presented in tabular fonn.

A water utilization analysis operating the three reservoirs in combination
with each other and separately for each reservoir shall be made as part of the
study and presented in tabular fonn summarizing monthly surface water opera-
tion studies and showing how Project water supply shall be enhanced by per-
fonning the necessary rehabilitative work to make the reservoirs fully opera-
ti onal.

The feasibility of enlarging Peterson and Twin Lakes Reservoirs shall be
evaluated.

A chemical and physical analysis of the water developed from each Project
shall be perfonned. As the primary use of the water is for municipal and
industrial purposes, observations shall be made regarding taste, color, odor,
biocides and other parameters that might effect project facilities or service
and what types of treatment are required for human consumption. Any special
requirements for selective withdrat/al, fish screens, etc. shall be assessed
and be discussed.

An analysis of reservoir sedimentation shall be made at each reservoir,
diversion works and transport system.

-4-
