As Mike had discussed with me the possibility of <br />requesting a time. extension based on the pending outcome of the U.S. Forest Service's <br />action concerning the special use permit for Peterson dam & reservoir, he had also' <br />indicated that we could request an increase in funding based on the most recent <br />engineer's construction cost estimate based on the design as submitted to the State <br />Engineer's Office. The estimate that was used for the initial request was based on a <br />preliminary cost estimate of a feasibility alternative. I have enclosed the latest cost. <br />estimate based on quantity take-offs from the final design drawings and an estimate of <br />construction management services and materials testing during construction, <br /> <br />I would like to request at this time that the contract be amended to extend the time for <br />completion of the Original Contract by one year to January 17, 1996,and to increase <br />. ~-~~~. <br />t~e Original Contract.amountby.~?E?1,?36,Jor a total amended contract amount of <br />$644,236. This total includes the $23,640 for the feasibility study, the $356,360 for 50% <br />of the initial construction cost estimate and $264,236 for 50% of the difference between <br />the latest construction cost estimate and the original estimate. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT B <br />
