CONSIOERATIGrI OF REOUEST FROM WEST FORT COLLINS WATER DISTRICT TO PROVIDE <br />TREATED WATER FOR AN AREA IN THE VICINITY OF TEO'S PLACE <br /> <br />Mr. Rybus said the West Fort Collins Water District has asked the City of <br />r,reeley to provide treated water from the Rellvup. Treatment Plant to enable <br />th~Hl to serve approximately 15 property owners in the area who have harl a <br />difficult time getting water. It is proposed that they tie into a line at the <br />RellvlJp. Plant anrl construct a pumping station and run their own pipeline to <br />the area. There would be no co~t to the City of Greeley. Mr. Ryhus noterl <br />that the City would receive approximately $2.000 per year in revenues from <br />this, and it would be an opportunity to use some of the excesc; treatment <br />capacity at the Rellvup. Plant. lJuring a discussion of the pros and cons of <br />the proposal, it was noterl that any potential agreement shollld include a <br />statement that the City of Greeley will not be responsible for watpr supply or <br />pressure. <br /> <br />A motion \'ias marle by Elmer Rothe and seconrled by Richarrl Roettcher to <br />atJthorize the staff to negotiate an agreement with the West Fort Collins Water <br />nistrict and bring it hack to the Water and Sewer Board for approval. Ryhus said he harl received a reque5t from the City of Loveland to have the <br />Greeley, Loveland, <Inri Fort Collins Water Roards scherlllle an informal meeting <br />to rli'icuSS mutual cnncerns. This meeting was tentativel.y scheduled for <br />Thursday, February 12th, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Ryhus staterl that A.cting City Manaqpr Sam Sasaki has scheduled a <br />presentation on the Cache La Pourlre Project for 7:30 p.m. on Monrlay, January <br />26th. City officials and interested civic groups will be invited to attend. <br /> <br />Mr. Ryhus reported that the Water nppartmpnt processed a new record of 7.3 <br />hillion gallons of water in 1986.
