The plug can be lifted by air lift bags <br />and/or winches in the opposite manner of placement. The plug will <br />be lifted to the surface and the trash rack replaced. This must <br />be done expeditiously as the outlet cannot be closed for more than <br />one hour at a time. The plug will be stored in the dam super- <br />intendent's garage hopefully, not to be used again for many <br />decades. <br /> <br />The downstream control gates will be repaired after the <br /> <br /> <br />outlet is opened. The emergency gate above each control gate can <br /> <br />be closed to allow the work. The work can be performed when there <br /> <br /> <br />is snow because the gate chamber is the same temperature year <br /> <br /> <br />round. Reclamation must approve the use of only one set of gates <br /> <br />to release water if this arises. Generally, each set of gates is <br /> <br /> <br />opened equally. <br /> <br />The gates should be completely repaired by mid-December. <br /> <br />6.0-11 <br />
