A general discussion of the hydrology of the
Nussbaum is provided in the Horse Creek Basin Report (State Engineers Office, 1988). That
report is public record, and is not attached to this feasibility study report.

The site-specific ground water hydrology of the Preisser property, including an opinion as to the
feasibility of drawing water from irrigation or commercial wells located on the property is
included as an attachment to this report. That study was based on a field investigation by HRS
Water Consultants, Inc. in 1997.

Wells

Wells on the Preisser property historically have peen used to irrigate lands on the property since
the 1968-1972 time period. At the present time Preisser is the owner of six irrigation wells
located in Sections 22 and 29, T14S, R58W, Lincoln County, Colorado (see attached Figure 2).
All six of the wells are completed in the Nussbaum alluvial aquifer, and generally range in depth
from 100 to 130 feet. Following are the permit numbers and locations of the irrigation wells.

Owner's Designation Permit Number Well Location Structure ID No.
5 9262-F NW NW 29 14S 58W 1706132
11 9264-F NW SW 29 14S 58W 1706030
12 9202-F NW NE 22 14S 58W 1705389
13 9201-F SE NE 22 14S 58W 1705383
14 9265-F SE SE 22 14S 58W 1705375
15 9266-F SW SE 22 14S 58W 1705396

HRS WATER CONSULTANTS, INC.

page 2
