If the applicant <br />Is a corporation, aliens may own or control stock in the corporation only if <br />the laws of their country do not deny simi1ar priVileges to citizens of the <br />United States. <br /> <br />Item '7: This entry is the basis for defining the "proposed action" in the <br />NEPA process. Information furnished here is also crittcal in preparing the <br />granting document. The applicant should carefully review the Item require- <br />ments and furnish the relevant information and eliminate any extraneous data <br />which does not affect the grant or the environment. In addition to those <br />items speCifically listed, the applicant,must describe the size and/or capacity <br />of the facility (e.g., kV, pipeline diame~er, etc.) <br /> <br />It~ '8: A map, USGS quadrangle, aerial photo: or equivalent, showing the <br />appropriate location of the proposed right-of-way and facilities on public <br />land and existing improvements adjacent to,the proposal, must be attached <br />to the application. Only the existing adjacent improvements which the pro- <br />posal may directly affect need to be shown on the map. The proposal should <br />be carefully plotted on the base map USing its relationship to the cultural <br />and physical features shown on the base map. A centerline survey map may be <br />required in certain instances. <br /> <br />Item Ig: The applicant is usually not required to complete this item. The <br />Intent of the item is to alert the applicant to the need for certain State <br />and local permits, authorizations, or other approvals, and to encourage the <br />applicant to initiate a simultaneous process to secure all necessary author- <br />izations prior to project authorization.
