Analyses of Morrison's water rights (see Master Plan) have shown that additional
storage is needed to supply future planned development. (The Morrison service area is shown on
Drawing I-A of the Appendix,) Therefore the raw water delivery improvements are to be designed
to accommodate future additional storage, The design diversion rate is 4.45 cfs,

PROPOSED FACILITIES

The proposed facilities, with summary capital cost estimates, are described following: (Item
numbers are consistent with the Master Plan, Table IV-B).

Descriotion

Est. Cost

1,

Modify existing intake by enlarging opening, adding gate and bar
screen; construct an access bridge for maintenance.

$65,000

2.

Construct new concrete grit chamber, replace 800 linear feet of
old existing 10" steel pipe (part through tunnel)

Replace approximately 1 ,000 linear feet of old 4" steel pipe
(between the treatment plant and reservoir) with 14" DIP

Replace approximately 1 ,000 linear feet of old 6" steel pipe
(between the treatment plant and reservoir) with 14" DIP

Total Estimated Phase 1 Costs

Allow 15% Project Contingencies

Total Recommended Project Budget (Use)

$425,000
$64,000
$490,000

$260,000

3.

$50,000

4,

$50,000

PLAN SELECTION LOGIC

The Master Plan for the Morrison Water Supply System by MWE, Ltd., dated July, 1996 (as
appended to this Feasibility Plan) has been approved by the Morrison Town Board. Both this
Master Plan and the November 1, 1994 WRC Engineering, Inc. Report (as was previously
submitted to the CWCB) acknowledge that the Morrison raw water supply facilities should be
segregated into two parts - both for analysis and scheduling, These two parts are:

70-0SO.039P:REPORT
