Expand existing water treatl11ent plant from 0.5 MGD to 1.0 $650,000.00
MGD. The expansion would include upgrades to improve
the sedimentation process, chlorine contact time, and
discharge from the backw<ilsh process into the sanitary
sewer system. Note: If this expansion cannot be financed in
the near-future, it may be necessary to separate out and
complete disinfection improvements earlier.
Subtotal Recommended First Priority $1,010,000.00
Improvements to Utilize Cooley Reservoir
5. Replace the approximately 1,000 lineal feet of 6-inch pipe $50,000.00
from the treatment plant to the end of the new 14-inch DIP
leading to the Morrison Op~rating Reservoir with new 14-
inch DIP. This includes direct connection to the existing 12-
inch CIP gravity intake pipeline to flow water by gravity to
the Morrison Operating Reservoir.
6. Install a new centrifugal pump in the existing outlet pump $50,000.00
station at the Morrison Operating Reservoir. This includes
connection to the existing 8-inch outlet pipe, installation of
one new 1.25 cfs pump (0.13 MGD) and controls, and new
high amp electrical service. A second pump will be needed
in the future to support additional development and provide
the total 2.5 cfs capacity to Cooley Reservoir.
7. Install approximately 7,000 lineal feet of 12-inch DIP from $430,000.00
the Morrison Operating Reservoir to the Cooley Reservoir.
The pipeline alignment will fC)lIow the most direct route along
the toe of the mountain slop€! and through the Cooley Gravel
Pit site to the Cooley Reservoir.
8. Install an outlet pump within Cooley Reservoir to flow water $70,000.00
back to the Morrison Operating Reservoir for ultimate use in
the treatment plant. The initial outlet system will be a
submersible pump to convey water over the rim to the
transmission pipe. The final configuration in the future may
include a floating pump station. This includes telemetry
communication for control of the pump based upon demand
and levels in the reservoirs.
Subtotal Required Additional Improvements to Utilize Cooley $600,000.00
Reservoir

70-080.035:MsrR-PLN

IV-4
