A <br /> <br />brief report of the geologic risks associated with the planned construction and preliminary <br /> <br />design information including probable material sources in sufficient detail to allow <br /> <br />construction costs to be estimated will be prepared. <br /> <br />E12.5 Preliminarv Desil!R Concents - Develop preliminary design concepts, for alternatives described <br /> <br />in subtasks E7.1 through E7.8, except E73, for the purpose of making BESTSM simulations. <br /> <br />These concepts will be limited to hydraulic capacities/geometry necessary to operate <br /> <br />BESTSM. No drawings will be prepared for this subtask. <br /> <br />E12.6 Simulation Models - Reservoir operation ximulation models of each alternative to be defined <br /> <br />in subtasks E7.1 - E7.8, except E73, will be developed through modification of BESTSM to fit <br /> <br />the particular requirements of each alternative. To the degree practicable, existing mcidels for <br /> <br />alternatives developed previously will be used. <br /> <br />E12.7 Test Models - The reservoir operation models developed in subtask E12.6 will be tested to <br /> <br />detect errors in program logic and coding. Model testing will be accomplished by simulating <br /> <br />operations for two to five year periods rather than the full period of study. <br /> <br />E12.8 Deline Alternative Doerations - Operational rules for the proposed and existing facilities <br /> <br />comprising the project alternatives will be developed based on the operational concepts <br /> <br />developed in subtasks E7.1 through E7.8, operating records obtained in Task E2.0, and <br /> <br />operating criteria used for the initial Phase I effort. These rules will be used for BESTSM <br /> <br />system simulations performed in subtask E12.9. <br /> <br />31 <br />
