TECHNICAL EVALUATION OF ALTERNATIVES

Evaluate the project alternatives defmed in Task E7.0 (subtasks E7.1 - E7.8) at the same

reconnaissance level of detail as the alternatives presented in the Interim Report. unless

otherwise noted.. Evaluate project alternatives defined in Task E7.0 (subtasks E7.9, E7.10) at

a screening level of detail. Summarize alternatives in Task E7.0 (subtask E7.11) for inclusion

in the FmaI Phase I Report.

Methodolol!V: For alternatives defined in subtasks E7.1 - E7.8, new associated project elements will be

defined by Boyle in consultation with the CWCB. Project elements will be evaluated at a

reconnaissance level of detail for inclusion as part of the project alternatives. These

alternatives will be evaluated in terms of their ability to increase full season irrigation water

supplies. Unless otherwise specified, the procedures, assumptions, and techniques used

previously in the technical evaluations of alternatives conducted for the study by Boyle will be

used for these analyses.

For alternatives to be investigated as defmed in sub tasks E7.9 and E7.10, information from the

reports of previous investigations will be reviewed. Costs associated with the alternatives will

be updated in Task E13.0. The alternatives will be summarized in the Fmal Phase I Report.

CWCB will be informed if apparent issues are discovered that would warrant additional

analysis. If directed by the CWCB, Boyle will prepare a scope and budget covering the

additional work effort for CWCB review and directions.

Alternatives defl.1ed in subtask E7.11 will be summarized for inclusion in the Fmal Phase I

Report. No analysis of alternatives will be required.
