The District, to date, has been able to <br /> <br />obtain commitments from The Upper Yampa Water Conservancy Dis- <br /> <br />trict, the Town of Hayden, and other municipalities to purchase <br /> <br />5,000 acre-feet of the available storage, and indication from <br /> <br />Colorado-Ute Electric Associat~on, Inc., that it would be willinq <br /> <br />to purchase up to 10,000 acre-feet of available storaqe on terms <br /> <br />and conditions mutually aqreeab~e. It is anticipated that if an <br /> <br />additional 9,000 acre-feet of water can be sold, the District will <br /> <br />be able to go to the bond market for lonq term financinq. Antici- <br /> <br />pating that additional sales of water within the next ten years <br /> <br />will be forthcoming, the District proposed to obtain the interim <br /> <br />financing from the CWRPDA which will allow the District the <br /> <br />opportunity to sell additional water and to refinance the interim <br /> <br />loan. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Conclusion <br /> <br />The District is seeking to develop the Stagecoach Reservoir <br /> <br />Project in the belief that additional supplies of stored water are <br /> <br />necessary for future qrowth in the Yampa Valley.
