This <br />memorandum will include up to 15 figures that present calibration results in graphical form. <br /> <br />Task 5.6 Revise Documentation <br />A meeting will be held with the State to discuss the reorganization of the existing modeling <br />documentation to better address the various modeling enhancements. Based on the <br />documentation meeting the CRDSS Gunnison River Basin Model documentation will be updated <br />or modified to discuss the enhancements associated with the variable efficiency and soil moisture <br />accounting in the same manner used to incorporate the enhancements associated with each <br />upgrade (i,e, Phase 2, Phase 3b), In addition, a new appendix will be added that includes the <br />more detailed data development memorandum, the model comparison memorandum, and the <br />calibration memorandum as discussed above. <br /> <br />TASK 6 - DEVELOP DAILY GUNNISON STATEMOD MODEL <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />It has been recognized that monthly models do not capture daily variations in streamflow and call <br />regimes that are required by certain model applications. A daily model of the Gunnison River Basin has <br />been requested by the water users to better represent the river system in up-coming applications. <br /> <br />Task 6 will not proceed without written authorization by the CWCB. <br /> <br />Objective: <br /> <br />Select streamgages that have good daily records for the model period from 1975 through 2000, and fill <br />daily data as required. Create the input files necessary to simulate the CRDSS Gunnison River Basin <br />StateMod model using a daily time-step based on the methodology established with the Yampa River <br />Basin pilot study. Execute the daily model, review the results, determine the calibration needs and <br />calibrate as necessary. Prepare documentation that describes the approach and results for the simulation. <br /> <br />Approach: <br /> <br />Task 6.1 Select and Fill Streamgages to Define Daily Patterns <br />Review available daily data for the streamgages represented in the Monthly Gunnison River <br />Basin modeling efforts. Select streamgages with good daily records to represent appropriate sub- <br />basins or model areas, Fill missing monthly gage records with the regression models used in <br />Phase IDa.
