Aristocrat Ranchette Water projectl Inc.
Feasibility Study

6

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

ARWP service area. A delivery line to the 85,000 gallon elevated
tank is also recommended to avoid the need to boost pressure a
second time to feed the distribution system.

ARWP intends to complete a network analysis of the distribution
system to identify pipeline sections which will be upsized to
accommodate flows of 1000 gpm for fire protection. It was found
that increasing all existing 3" and 4" lines to 8" would cost
approximately $1/000/000 and is not economical. Therefore a more
detailed analysis and cost estimate is suggested. Presumably the
distribution system can be improved for a significantly lesser
cost.

Water Rights

ARWP presently has decreed rights in the Laramie/Fox-Hills
Aquifer of 103 acre feet per year (See attached Decree, Appendix
D). Currently, ARWP delivers around 90 acre-feet, or less than
1/3 of an acre-foot per household.

Cost Estimate

The selected alternative is estimated to cost a total of $ 2.676
million. Design of the pipeline up to the ARWP service area will
be by Central Weld. The ARWP Company engineer will design
improvements within the service area. The detailed cost
estimate, including contingencies, is included in Appendix B.

Item Estimated Cost
l. Administration $ 127,000
2 . Construction to reach
the Service Area $1,166/000
3. Construction within
the Service Area $ 500,000
4. Purchase Water Rights $ 403/000
5 . Miscellaneous $ 40.000
.
Total Costs $2.236.000

~
