<br />TASK DESCRIPTION - Continueci <br /> <br />4. Collect Land Classification Data from U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and Soil <br /> <br /> <br />Conservation Service - All potential proj ect service areas have had land <br /> <br /> <br />classification made by one or both agencies. There are differences in <br /> <br /> <br />criteria between the ~c agencies which will be considered in the course of <br /> <br /> <br />the study. <br /> <br />5. Identify Areas for SUPFlemental and Full Irrigation Service Resulting from <br /> <br /> <br />the Project Development - Information will be shown on a color coded map of <br /> <br /> <br />the entire project area. Schematic layout of project features will be on <br /> <br /> <br />the same map. <br /> <br />6.' Preliminary Layout of Project Features - All proposed project features <br /> <br /> <br />(including alternatives) will be laid out on 1" : 2000 I quad sheets. <br /> <br /> <br />Enlargements will be made as appropriate. <br /> <br />7. Field Inspection of Prc:ect Features - All proposed reservoir sites will be <br /> <br /> <br />visited and all delivery routes will be traversed by the project engineer, <br /> <br /> <br />the project geologist, and local and state personnel if !:hey so desire. <br /> <br /> <br />Numerous pictures will be taken, selected ones of which will form a part of <br /> <br /> <br />the final report. <br /> <br />8. Geologic Reconnaissance of Dam Sites and Delivery Routes On-site <br /> <br /> <br />observation plus collection of maps and data previously prepared by others. <br /> <br />9. Preparation of Geologic Report - Will include maps of surface geology, <br /> <br /> <br />description of geologic structures. identification of hazards or problem <br /> <br /> <br />areas, availability of materials, etc. <br /> <br />10. Eliminate Redunda~t Alternatives - Based on tasks 1 through 10 above, and <br /> <br /> <br />in consultation with local and state personnel, select preferred alternates <br /> <br /> <br />where more than one was initially considered. <br /> <br /> <br />-8- <br />
