Schedules and and estimated costs are shown in succeeding <br /> <br /> <br />sections. <br /> <br />TASK DESCRIPTION - SAN MIGUEL PROJECT STUDY, PROPOSAL <br /> <br />1. Collect U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Hydrologic Data - Extensive nonpublished <br /> <br /> <br />information regarding stream flows, ditch diversions, correlation methods <br /> <br /> <br />and water rights is available in the Durango projects office. This <br /> <br /> <br />information will be acq~ired and rearranged as necessary to meet the needs <br /> <br /> <br />of this study. <br /> <br />'2. Collect Water Rights and Historic Records of Operation from all Other <br /> <br /> <br />Sources - The division engineer, ~ater commissioner, and officers of local <br /> <br /> <br />ditch companies will be interviewed and copies of such recorded information <br /> <br /> <br />as is available will be obtained. A line diagram showing the relative <br /> <br /> <br />positions and priorities of existing ditches and reservoirs will be <br /> <br /> <br />prepared, and a complete tabulation of all pertinent data regarding water <br /> <br /> <br />rights and priorities .ill be included as an appendix to the report. <br /> <br />3. Determine Additional Yield to Each System Described in D. Project Features, <br /> <br /> <br />page 4 - Yield will be determined on the basis of total natural (virgin) <br /> <br /> <br />runoff less historic ac~:or decreed diversion rights having priority dates <br /> <br /> <br />senior to those owned or available to San Miguel Water Conservancy District <br /> <br /> <br />for use in the expanded systems. Close coordination with all affected <br /> <br /> <br />water rights owners .ill be essential to assure that conclusions as to <br /> <br /> <br />availability are realistic. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />-7- <br />
