Hughes Ditch extension and enlargement to utilize runoff from Salta do

and Fall Creeks, including either direct delivery to the Lilylands

system through the old Nelson Ditch, or construction of Wolf Meadows

Reservoir and delivery to Gurley Reservoir for exchange, or a

combination of the above, or other option not yet defined.

Upper Maverick Reservoir to collect and redistribute winter flows and

irrigation return flows to the lower Gurley system.

A diversion and delivery system to supply irrigation water to East

Paradox Valley including a diversion structure on the San Miguel

River, a gravity canal and/or pipeline from the diversion dam to a

reservoir on Naturita Creek, a canal and pipeline from Naturita Creek

to the Paradox Valley. Other alternatives may become apparent during

the course of the study and if so will be considered. Sufficient

topographic information will be obtained to make possible the

preparation of designs and cost estimates of sufficient accuracy to

serve as a basis for making decisions regarding further consideration

of this feature.

Provision of a reliable supply of industrial water for Colorado-Ute or

other future industry in the Nucla-Naturita area. Naturita Reservoir

represents a possible facility, but alternates will be considered.

E. Available Data

The area involved in this study has been previously subjected to intensive

investigation by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in the process of preparing

a feasibility report (House Document No. 435) which led to congressional

authorization of the San Miguel Project as a part of the Colorado River
