Corrnnissioner Levengood e,,:pressed the op1n10n of making <br />stat.ement.s in t.he letter to reflect a stronger stand by the COilllty, <br />Corrnnissioner Peterson questioned the need for statement No, 8 which <br />addresses the pollution in Peru Creek. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Consideration of Option for Exchange Rights for Giberson Property <br /> <br />Bruce Baumgartner, County Manager, reported on the letter received from <br />Stanley W. Cazier, of Baker, Cazier and NcGowan, a LaH Partnership, requesting <br />.5 acre foot exchange rights and Dillon storage rights for the Giberson <br />property, Hhich nOH does not have zoning, as it is needed because the proposal <br />is to transfer Wind.v Gap Hater to Middle Park water to be used on that site. <br />Corrnnissioner Ulmer corrnnented that he understood that these water rights did <br />not include the Seniors' Center, and Mr. Giberson would need to clarify this <br />matter. Commissioner Peterson referenced the position of the U.S. Forest <br />Service in this matter due to the location of the property. <br /> <br />r-mION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Ulmer moved to continue the proposal of option for <br />exchange rights for the Giberson Property illltil the May 23, 1988 <br />meeting due to lack of adequate information. Commissioner Peterson <br />seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Approval of Contract Re: Natural <br />Conservation Board and Stnmnit County <br /> <br />Resources, <br /> <br />BetHeen <br /> <br />Colorado <br /> <br />Water <br /> <br />Bruce Baumgartner, Count~. ~1anager, reported on the contract between the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board and Surruni t County. The contract is proposed <br />so that the County can receive and spend Sixty Thousand 1$60,000) Dollars of <br />state grant funds to be used on the small reservoir feasibility stud.v. The <br />county Hould act as the lead agent on this project and would need to secure <br />the additional matching funds of Twenty Thousand ($20,000) Dollars, The <br />county Hould also act as the contracting and billing agent for the <br />consult..=t, Mr. Baumgartner informed the Board that Jeffrey L.
