<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />As mentioned in our meeting last month, Layne would like to view <br />this project as a teaming arrangement. To this end, Layne would <br />provide the following services/materials without charging for <br />them: <br /> <br />-Drilling and core bits <br />-24 hours of standby time for educational and other Museum <br />requested standby time <br />-Preconstruct ion meeting with the field supervisor from our <br />Chandler, AZ office who has the most experience with coring <br />projects of this depth to discuss project specific requirements <br />and a representative from Christensen Products (Salt Lake City, <br />UT) to discuss methods and equipment to enhance core recovery <br /> <br />In return for these items, Layne would like to be named as a <br />major contributor towards the completion of this project. <br /> <br />Layne is uniquely qualified to perform this work for the <br />following reasons: <br /> <br />-No other contractor has the variety of drilling experience <br />Layne has in drilling through Denver Basin aquifers <br />-Previous continuous coring through the same aquifer materials <br />was completed by a Layne division <br /> <br />Layne would propose completing the work for the following prices: <br /> <br />Coring <br />HQ core, lump sum ..............................$110,250.00 <br />PQ core, lump sum ..............................$168,350.00 <br />Water sampling, per sample ......................$ 3,500.00 <br />PVC core storage <br />HQ core, lump sum ..............................$ 10,950.00 <br />PQ core, lump sum ..............................$ 13,500.00 <br />(Core storage to be completed as follows: core wrapped in <br />clear plastic (ie Saran wrap), placed in half round pvc <br />pipe and then placed inside another pvc pipe) <br /> <br />If you should have questions regarding the enclosed information, <br />please feel free to contact our office.
