This regional facility currently treats flow from Castle Pines Metropolitan <br /> <br /> <br />District, Castle Pines North Metropolitan District and the Town of Castle Rock. The <br /> <br /> <br />existing PCW A facility has the capacity to treat 2.3 million gallons of flow per day <br /> <br /> <br />(MGD), which is enough excess capacity for an additional 6,133 households, and <br /> <br /> <br />plant expansion is currently underway to increase capacity to 3.55 MGD. The <br /> <br /> <br />District will be responsible for obtaining wastewater treatment capacity sufficient to <br /> <br /> <br />serve approved development. All extensions of collection lines, force mains, new lift <br /> <br /> <br />stations and upgrades or modifications to any of the above types of facilities shall be <br />constructed by the developer(s). <br /> <br />5. Effiuent Irrigation <br /> <br />Treated effluent from the PCW A is utilized for irrigation of the existing golf course, <br /> <br /> <br />and is planned to be utilized on selected open space areas and a future 2nd golf <br /> <br />course which is in the planning stages. <br /> <br />6. Street System <br />The District is responsible for construction of arterial and collector streets within the <br /> <br />development. These roadways are then dedicated to Douglas County as public <br /> <br /> <br />rights.of-way at which time Douglas County Highway Department assumes <br /> <br /> <br />maintenance responsibilities for the streets. Construction and maintenance of the <br /> <br /> <br />streets within individual parcels are the responsibility of the respective developers. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Jehn Water Consultants.
