<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />them to safely store to the decreed high waterline. <br /> <br />LOCATION <br /> <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company's Reservoir No. 15 is located <br />in Larimer County, Colorado approximately 5 miles North and 6 miles <br />West of the Town of Wellington, Colorado. <br /> <br />The Reservoir is located in Sections 33, TION, and in Section 4, <br />T9N, Range 69W of the 6th P.M., Larimer, County, Colorado.. <br /> <br />The normal high waterline of the reservoir at gage rod 42.2 feet <br />is approximately equal to U.S.G.S. Elevation 5459.87 feet above <br />mean sea level. <br /> <br />The drainage basin and reservoir location map is included in <br />Appendix "A". The North Poudre System Map showing the location <br />of Reservoir No. 15 within the entire system is included as <br />Appendix "B". <br /> <br />CLIMA TE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Average monthly temperatures and precipitation for Substation No. <br />53005, Division 4, in Fort Collins, Colorado, is shown by the <br />following tables. The maximum temperature during the observation <br />period was 102oF, and minimum temperature was -41oP. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The frost-free period at one Port Collins observation station <br />ranges between 128 and 182 days during a 30 year observation per- <br />iod ending in 1965. The average frost-free period was 144 days. <br /> <br />The area lS subject to occasional winds in excess of 75 m.p.h., <br />ususally ln the period between September and April. Large Hail- <br />storms have occured, along with brief heavy rains from thunder- <br />storms. The maximum precipitation for any 24 hour period during <br />the years 1931 - 1979 was 4.43 inches. <br /> <br />2 <br />
