CHAPTER VI - ESTIMATED COSTS

COST OF CONSTRUCTION

I

Included within this report is a delineation of specific construc-
tion items contemplated for this project. Each of these are listed
separetly with the associated quantities, units, and estimated unit
price. The unit prices applied to tbese were derived from past
experience in bidding projects similar in nature.

These construction prices anticipate normal contractual arrangements
with contractors, and a reasonable construction schedule established
to allow good weather. Were construction to be required over the
winter months, these items may be increased.

Due to the fact that actual construction 1S not contemplated until
1986, an inflation factor of 20% above the estimated construction
items has been included.

Contingencies, legal, <Jnd enginceting has bcen provided for by add-
ing an additional 30% to the estimated construction costs.

PUND REQUIREMENT SCHEDULE

I

^ fund requircment schedule has been prepared for this project and
is included therein. This fund rcquirement schedule commences with
the present Feasibility Study, and includes design of the repairs
in 1985 and anticipated completion of construction 1986.

QPERATION, MAINTENANCE, AND REPL^CEMENT COSTS

The North Poudre Irrigation Company is a present operating entity
and the cost of operation and maintenance of Reservoir No. 15 as
an existing facility is approximately the same whether the reservoir
is filled to 75% full or 100% full.

Included within the annual report of The North Poudre Irrigation
Company and included in Appendix "G" herein, is a full operation
and maintcnance cxpcnsc buuget for the company for 1982 anu 1983.
