On page <br />0-2 he states that the upstream slope, "can be constructed at <br />a 3:1 slope ........" He should be more definite here, <br />especially since you recommend 4-1 slopes in your preliminary <br />design. Factors of safety need to be stated for all slopes <br />recommended. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />One page 0-4, a more descriptive statement is needed on the <br />existing riprap, i.e., is it too thin, too small or large, <br />etc., does it need to be rebedded? <br /> <br />On page 0-7, explain why liquifaction on the foundation soils <br />due to ground shaking should not be a problem. <br /> <br />On page 0-15, explain how the conclusion was reached that the <br />maximum cut for the cutoff trench would be 24 feet. <br /> <br />12. On page 0-17, who would do the study alluded to in the last <br />V sentence and at what cost? <br /> <br />V 13.
