<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Capita at $192 and the Current Water Rate as a Percent of Median Household Income <br />at 1.5%, are in the "Strong" and "Average" categories, respectively, in terms of current <br />indicators. <br /> <br />It should be noted, however. that the proposed Raw Water Irrigation System would be <br />established under a separate irrigation enterprise fund and would be independent of the <br />Water and Sewer Fund for accounting purposes, <br /> <br />Existing Water Suoolv Svstem <br />The Town of Silt currently uses a surface water supply system with diversions from the <br />Colorado River by gravity to a 1.5 million gallon (mg) settling basin/raw water reservoir, <br />Water is pumped from the reservoir to the Town's water treatment plant (WTP). <br /> <br />Maximum water treatment plant capacity for the current turbidity standard of 0,5 NTU <br />ranges between 400 and 600 gallons per minute, The WTP is currently operating at <br />capacity providing water for both in-house and lawn and garden irrigation to the 510 <br />existing customers, <br /> <br />Treated water storage of 850,000 gallons is provided in the distribution system, Of this <br />amount, about half is operating storage and half is for fire flows, <br /> <br />For municipal purposes, the Town has a total of 1.522 cubic feet per second (cfs) in <br />decreed absolute water rights and 0.363 cfs in conditional rights, These rights are fairly <br />junior and the Town utilizes augmentation water from the Green Mountain Reservoir <br />historic water users pool to assure a reliable supply, Silt is also in the process of <br />attempting to augment its supply through the purchase of Ruedi Reservoir water, <br /> <br />Water Demands <br />There are currently about 510 taps on the Town water system, Roughly 95 percent of <br />these taps are for residential customers inside the Town limits, <br /> <br />3 <br />
