Inc. <br /> <br />1,130 <br />510 <br />252 <br />$21,724 <br />$28.00 <br />$217,102 <br />$192 <br />1.5% <br /> <br />Sources: (1) Division of Local Government <br />(2) Town of Silt <br />(3) Jerome Gamba & Assoc. report <br />(4) Town of Silt Annual Financial Report, 12/31/94 <br /> <br />Total long-term indebtedness was $217,102 as of December 31,1994 and included a loan <br />. balance of $202,500 for a CWCB water system improvement loan obtained in 1980 and a <br />balance of $14,602 for a Department of Local Affairs (DLA) wastewater system loan obtained <br />in 1992. <br /> <br />The Town of Silt currently uses a surface water supply system with diversions from the <br />Colorado River by gravity to a 1.5 million gallon (mg) settling basin/raw water reservoir. <br />Water is pumped from the reservoir to the Town's water treatment plant (WTP) and thence to <br />the distribution system <br /> <br />NEED FOR THE PROJECT <br /> <br />Due to growth in population and to capacity limitations in the existing water supply system, <br />the Town has had to consider options for expanding its water supply capabilities, The critical <br />factor at present is the treatment capacity of the WTP which is operating at or near its limit. <br /> <br />The two options considered for water system expansion were: <br /> <br />-2- <br />
