.'

-'

"

~.

.

.

,

PHASE III - TASK 3: VATER
cont.

DELIVERABLES (cont.)

3. A list of effective basin water rights will be presented including
dates of priority and their effect on availability of water for
the project. The probable yield of the water rights will be
summarized and presented.

4. Annual water requirements of the City will be tabulated on a
monthly basis for the Design Condition (for comparison to
available supplies). Max day and max hour system data will be
presented along with an appropriate summary of operating data used
to make this assessment.

5. Vater utilization will be addressed by demonstrating the amount of
water available to the project. Tabulation of the annual summary
of monthly surface water available will be prepared to show how
project water will meet projected water requirements.

6. The chemical and physical characteristics of project water
supplies will be summarized based on existing inflow records from
the City's water treatment plant. (Since the surface water supply
will not be used for crop production and will be treated to
drinking water standards, the effect of dissolved minerals on
soils, water requirements, and crop production is not an issue
and, therefore, will not be addressed.)

7. The taste, color, and odor and other parameters of the domestic
water supply will be summarized based on the availability of
records from the City of Loveland water treatment plant. (Since
"" the project will involve an off-channel storage reservoir, with a
very limited drainage basin, cursory assessment of selected
withdrawal on fish screens will be discussed. It is not
anticipated, however, that this item will be a significant factor
in the project.)

8. An analysis of the rate of sedimentation in the reservoir,
diversion works, and the transport system will be prepared.

6
