The need for <br />this is paramount to the success ofthe project. Public education will take place by means of <br />newsletters, a web page, public meetings, field tours, Powerpoint presentation, radio and other <br />media. <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 1: Public information efforts are highly valuable in garnering support from many <br />landowners, attracting funding sources and keeping other interested parties informed. <br /> <br />TASK 1: Conduct field tours of restoration sites for schools, individuals, and groups. <br /> <br />Product: 2-5 field tours per year for targeted groups. <br />Units & Cost: 75 hours for 3 years at 25 hours/yr@ $15.00/hr. <br /> <br />TOTAL COST: $825.00. FUNDING SOURCE: $525.00 in-kind (ARWRP). $300.00 <br />in-kind (CWCB) <br /> <br />TASK 2: Present the Alamosa River Restoration video and the updated Powerpoint Presentation <br />at meetings in the community and follow with interactive question and answer session. <br /> <br />This involves: <br />Periodically updating the ARWRP Power Point presentation to show current progress of <br />restoration efforts. The presentations will be saved on a CD format to be shared with other <br />interested parties. This will be done for a period of three years. <br /> <br />Product: Presentation of video and Powerpoint. <br />Units & Cost; Estimated at cost plus materials. <br /> <br />TOTAL COST: $400.00. FUNDING SOURCE: $100.00, in-kind (ARWRP) $200.00 <br />(CWCB)and $100.00(319). <br /> <br />TASK 3: Continue to produce a semi-annual newsletter that is mailed to approximately 250 <br />landowners, cooperating local, state, and federal agency officials, and political supporters. <br />Develop a web site and seek further exposure in local and statewide media through press releases <br />radio talk shows <br /> <br />Product: (Publications) 4 newsletters and updated website. <br />Units & Cost: 4 newsletters @ $380. OO/newsletter. (printing costs). $153 mailing cost. <br />Total: $1,670.00. $850.00 to develop and maintain a web site. <br /> <br />TOTAL COST: $2,515.00.
