Reclamation acquired Landsat and SPOT digital satellite images
during the 1995 growing season for 1,845,382 irrigated acres in the Upper Colorado River
Basin. A dtgital map of the crop data for the study area is shown in Exhibit B-2. The West
Rhone conducted a brief field verification of the study area, and made necessary changes 110
reflect crop types for the 2000 growing season.

The pie chart in Exhibit B-3 shows the percentages of the major crop types being produced in
the area this year. Grass hay and pasture is the primary agricultural product being produced,
followed by alfalfa.
