Location: Legal description of the stream segment through which an instream flow is claimed: The natural stream channel from headwaters at a spring at lat. 39 deg. 32'2S"N, long. 106 deg. l4'42"W as the upstream terminus and extending to the confluence with Onion Gulch at lat. 39 deg. 30'Ol"N, long. 106 deg. 09'S3"W as the downstream terminus, being a dis- tance of approximately 5.8 miles. This segment can be located on the Vail Pass U.S.G.S. quadrangle(s). For administrative purposes only, the Division Engineer for Water Division 5 has translated the segments thus described into approximate protracted section, township, and range locations from O.S.G.S. mapping as follows: upper terminus in the NW/4 SE/4 S8 T65 R79W 6th P.M.; more specifically at a point whence the S/4 cOrner of 533 TS5 R78W bears 574 30W a distance of 34,150 ft., downstream terminus in the 5E/4 NE/4 529 T65 R79W 6th P.M.; more specifically at a point whence the S/4 corner of 533 TSS R78W bears 521 OOW a dis- tance of 25,700 ft. c. (1) Date of initiation of appropriation: March 14, 1986. (2) Date water applied to beneficial use: Water was first applied to beneficial use on March 14, 1986, pursuant to S 37-92-103(4), C.R.S. (1973). (3) Bow appropriation was initiated: By applicant's approval of its staff's final recommendations at a regu- larly scheduled meeting, subsequent to having requested and considered recommendations from the Division of Wildlife, and the Division of Parks and OUtdoor Recreation. d.
