Seqment 1: The natural stream <br />channel from confluence of Monte Cristo and Bemrose Creeks <br />at lat. 39 deg. 23'13"N, long. 106 deg. 03'08"W as the <br />upstream terminus and extending to the Highway 9 Bridge <br />near the confluence of Fredonia Gulch at lat. 39 deg, <br />24'SS"N, long. 106 deg. 02'4l"W as the downstream terminus, <br />being a distance of approximately 2.2 miles. Seqment 2: <br />The natural stream channel from the Highway 9 Bridge near <br />the confluence of Fredonia Gulch at lat. 39 deg. 24'SS"N, <br />long. 106 deg. 02'4l"W as the upstream terminus and extend- <br />ing to the upstream end of the highwater line of Goose Pas- <br />ture Tarn at full decreed capacity at lat. 39 deg. <br />26'S6"N, log. 106 deg. 02'00"W as the downstream terminus, <br />being a distance of 2.7 miles. These segments can be <br />located on the Breckenridge and Frisco U.S.G.S. <br />quadrangle(s). <br /> <br />For administrative purposes only, the Division Engineer for <br />Water Division 5 has translated the seaments thus <br />described into approximate protracted section, township, <br />and range locations from U.S.G.S. mapping as follows: <br />Segment 1: Upstream terminus in the NE/4 NE/4 51 T8S R78W <br />6th P.M.; more specifically at a point whence the SE corner <br />of said section bears N03 30W a distance of 4,000 ft.; <br />downstream terminus in SW/4 NW/4 S30 T7S R77W 6th P.M. <br />Seqment 2: upstream terminus in SW/4 NW/4 S30 T7S R77W 6th <br />P.M,; downstream terminus NE/4 NE/4 S8 T7S R77W 6th P.M., <br />specifically, the inlet to Goose Pasture Tar~. <br /> <br />c. (1) Date of initiation of appropriation: March 14, 1986. <br /> <br />(2) Date water applied to beneficial use: Water was first <br />applied to beneficial use on March 14, 1986, pursuant to S <br />37-92-103(4), C.R.S. (1973). <br /> <br />(3) How appropriation was initiated: By applicant's <br />approval of its staff's final recommendations at a regu- <br />larly scheduled meeting, subsequent to having requested and <br />considered recommendations from the Division of Wildlife, <br />and the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation. <br /> <br />d. Amount of water claimed: <br /> <br />Segment 1: 2 c.f.s. (May 1 through Sept. 30), 1 c.Ls. <br />(Oct. 1 through Apr. 30), absolute. <br />Segment 2: ' 5 c.Ls.
