Water can be delivered from either/or both reservoirs (lag time is
slightly less for water released from Steamboat Lake).

2. Decreed uses for Steamboat water are municipal, fishery, recreation,
industrial, and irrigation.

3. 2; 000 acre feet per year are available from Steamboat Lake beginning
June 30, 1991. A total of 3,300 acre feet per year may be av~ilable
in future years if some modifications are made to the existing
recreation facilities and the emergency spillway.

4. The cost is somewhat negotiable, however, based on the current
market and discussions with informed water folks, the Division feels
its water is worth about $10.00 per acre foot (stored) if a multiple
year lease is desired. If water is to be leased on a year-to-year
basis, the price could be somewhat less depending on the mark~t.

Specifically concerning Stagecoach, our records, if they are correct, reflect a
total capacity of 33,275 a.f. of which 15,000 a.f. is recreation pool, 3,720 dead
pool, and 14,600 a.f. committed to other users, most notably 9,000 a.f. to
Colorado Ute. I guess we wonder which water can be guaranteed from Stagecoach.

Feel free to call me if you have any concerns.

Sincerely,

"
II
"

~~~
Joseph M.
