'!he proposed water supply and sanitation systans and <br />other utility systans and the ability of these <br />systans to prelTent disease, contamination and <br />unsanitary or hazardous conditions during a flood. <br /> <br />c. '!he susceptibility of the proposed facility and its <br />contents to flood damage and the effect of such <br />damage to the individual CMI1er. <br /> <br />d. The availability of alternative locations not <br />subject to flooding for the proposed use. <br /> <br />e. '!he safety of, access to the property in times of <br />flood for ordinary and emergency vehicles. <br /> <br />f. '!he expected heights, velocity, duration, rate of <br />rise and sediment transport of the floodwaters at <br />the site. <br /> <br />g. '!he existence of flood warning systans to notify <br />floodplain occupmts of impending floods. <br /> <br />h. '!he cumulative effect of the proposed developnent, <br />with other existing or anticip;lted uses, in <br />, increasing potential flood hazards. <br /> <br />8.5 Use of Other R;,Re Flood Data. When base flood elelTation <br />data has not been provided in accordance with Section_ <br />"Basis For Establishing The Areas of ~ial Flood <br />Hazards", the Jldninistrator shall obtain, relTiew and <br />reasonably utilize any base flood elelTation data <br />available from Federal, State, or other sources, in order <br />to properly aaninister the requirements of this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />8.6 Al teration of Wat~rcourses. '!he Jldninistrator shall <br />notify Summit County and the State coordinating agency, <br />which is presently the Colorado Water Conservation Board, <br />prior to ay alteration or relocation of a watercourse and <br />sutmit evidence of such notification to the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency; and, require that <br />maintenance is provided within the altered or relocated <br />portion of the watercourse so that the flood carrying <br />cap;lcity is not diminished. '!his may required the Town <br />Board of Trustees to enter into a oontractual arrangement <br />with the permit applicant prior to issuance of the <br />developnent permit. <br /> <br />Page 19 <br />
