Information Campaign <br />A Public Information Network Committee has been identified to coordinate and disseminate <br />emergency preparedness information more fluidly. The information focus also includes <br />Project Impact progress information and the concept that drives it. <br /> <br />It was noted at the first community meeting, that information is plentiful in the county, but <br />without a network or system to deliver it. This network committee will be responsible for: <br />. scheduling training for the public as routine <br />. updating information on the Project Impact web page <br />. submitting regular press releases to the local newspapers and radio stations <br />. utilizing American Red Cross and Salvation Army brochures and instructors <br />. setting up chain calls during emergencies to check on fellow neighbors <br />. setting up a chat room on the INTERNET for Y2K <br />. setting up an emergency preparedness video collection that can be viewed for free in <br />the county offices' video room <br />. designate neighborhood homes to gather at when in need of shelter <br />. fire proofinglprotection training and brochure development <br /> <br />25 <br />
