providing flood control storage and providing water supply for municipal and industrial
purposes was also studied as possible components of a multiple purpose project.
Major tasks included water rights evaluation, storable flow computation, PMP/PMF
computation and flood routing, study of 37 years' reservoir operation records, as well
as sizing of principal spillway, primary outlet, and all hydraulic structures and the
preparation of conceptual level engineering plans and cost estimates,

· Floodplain Information Study, Colorado Water Conservation Board, Black Hawk,
Colorado, Project Manager. Completed flood study of North CIE,ar Creek and several
tributaries in the Black Hawk/Central City area,

. Flood Insurance Studies, Federal Emergency Management A,gency, Town of
Frisco and Summit County, Colorado, Project Manager. Completed hydrologic and
hydraulic studies of 20 miles of selected mountainous stream reaches,

· Summit County Small Reservoir Feasibility Study, Colorado Water Conservation
Board, Colorado, Project Engineer. ResponSible for a reconnaissance, siting and
screening evaluation of small water supply dam/reservoir sites in the Blue River basin
upstream of Dillon Reservoir, Summit County, Colorado, Screening criteria included
development of a regional PM F relationship, site geometry, geology, water yield, etc,
Purpose of the reservoir/s is for minimum streamflow augmentation for maintenance of
in-stream aquatic life and habitat.

· Smith Creek Drainage Basin Planning Study, EI Paso County, Colorado. Project
Manager. Prepared a drainage basin master plan for a five square mile drainage
basin near the U,S, Air Force Academy, This largely undeveloped watershed and
unencroached-upon stream was planned to be proactively protected in its current
condition,

. Stearns Lake Dam/Reservoir, Boulder County, Colorado, Project
manager/engineer. This project was a multiple'year comprehensive rehabilitation of a
20-foot high homogenous earthfill dam, The project began with a detailed dam
inspection, geotechnical drilling, and piezometer installation and lab testing, A safety
evaluation flood analysis and report was accomplished as a part of the preliminary
design, Design and preparation of plans and specifications for new outlet structures,
irrigation delivery features, spillway enlargement, and embankment repair was
completed. Construction occurred simultaneously with reservoir drawdown for
sediment removal. Provided on,site inspection and construction stage engineering, A
refilling plan was developed and implementation was supervised. Dam/reservoir
operations were monitored for several years following completion,

. Prentice Gulch Rehabilitation, Greenwood Village, Colorado. Project Engineer.
Designed improvements to 2 miles of Prentice Gulch in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Responsibility included regional hydrologic analysis, gradually varied flow profile
computations and preparation of complete plans and specifications,

. Flood Control Levees, Shiwassee Flats, Michigan, Project En'9ineer, Designed
local drainage works, sized detention basins, designed bascule gated detention outlet
works and estimated related construction costs as a part of preliminary engineering for
a major flood control project.
