Doug Laiho, P.E. is the principal in charge of our Denver Area Office located in
Boulder, Colorado. Doug has performed many Floodplain Information Reports for
the Corps of Engineers and Flood Insurance Studies for FEMA since the origin of
that program under HUD in the early 1970's. He has over twenty years of
experience in Colorado and is a registered engineer P.E, in SEwen states, His
specialties are hydrology, natural stream restoration, and urban drainage, He has
completed numerous master drainage basin plans and water resource designs
throughout Colorado. Doug's role will be Project Manager.

Proiect Enaineers

John Hunt, P.E. is a project manager with over 1:3 years experience in
hydrologic and hydraulic engineering. John was previously employed by the US
Army Corps of Engineers' Hydrologic Engineering Center in Davis, California,
where he conducted a research project aimed at improving the practice of
modeling bridges with HEC-2 and HEC,RAS, This research resulted in new
guidance for bridge modeling in the HEC-RAS Users' Manual. In his employment
with Ayres Associates, he has developed and dimcted hydraulic analysis studies
in Colorado and eleven other states. John is highly proficient in the use of the
one, dimensional hydraulic modeling programs HEC,RAS and UNET, as well as
two, dimensional modeling with RMA-2 and FESWMS, He also has experience in
hydrologic analysis using HEC,1 and HEC'FFA; and is an instructor for the
Federal Highway Administration's training course on hydraulic design of culverts.

Scott Hogan, P.E. was involved in developing the Spring Creek master plan
revisions for the City of Fort Collins. Scott was responsible for inventorying and
evaluating drainage basin characteristics for seven watersheds for the City of
Greeley's Comprehensive Drainage Plan Update, and revised the hydrologic and
hydraulic models for all seven basins using EPASWMM, HEC-2, HY-8,
UDSEWER, and EXTRAN..

Morgan Byars, P.E. specializes in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses associated
with our river engineering projects, He specializes in bridge scour analysis and
countermeasures design. He is proficient in the use of both 1,and 2- dimensional
modeling techniques for characterizing the hydraulic characteristics of natural
river systems; his experiences includes high mountain systems in Colorado to
tidally-influenced bays and estuaries on the east coast.

Chris Carlson, P.E. specializes in drainage system planning and design,
including hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, He is proficient in the analysis and
design of hydraulic structures including construction drawings, specifications,
cost estimating, and construction administration. Currently, Mr" Carlson is the
Project Manager responsible for completing tile Colorado Statl3 University Master
Drainage Plan and final design of the recommended improvements. He recently
completed a hydraulic study of three large irrigation canals in Fort Collins using
UNET then designed a large overflow spillway off one of the canals.
