Colorado Blvd" Suite 405 <br />Denver, Colorado 80222 <br />Attn: Mr. Penn Gildersleeve <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />Ground Engineering Consultants, Inc. has recently completed <br />a soil and foundation investigation for the proposed drop <br />structures and trickle channel to be located along Goldsmith <br />Gulch, south of Belleview Avenue in Greenwood Village, <br />Colorado. The project site is shown on Figure 1. <br /> <br />Si te CQ.lJ.dit..'l.sllLs~ At the time of our' investilsation, th.e site <br />was occupied by the existing Goldsnith Gulch. It appeared <br />that a considerable amount of site grading had taken place <br />on both sides of the existing dra~nage. The site was <br />sparsely vegetated with weeds and grasses. A large number <br />of cattails were growing along the eXisting drainage. <br /> <br />The topography of the site is variable and generally sloped <br />moderately down to the existing drainage from the east and <br />west. An overall elevation difference of approximately 10 <br />feet exists across the sit~ at the centerline of the <br />proposed trickle channel. <br /> <br />Water was observed in Goldsmith Gulch flowing from south to <br />north. <br /> <br />A new bridge is being built across <br />Belleview Avenue. A large number of <br />were scattered across the north end <br />appeared that the gulch in the area <br />construction of the new bridge. <br /> <br />Goldsmith Gulch at <br />end dumped fill piles <br />of the site.
