<br />B. Submit watering schedule to Owner for watering pler+r. +~~es and shrubs <br />through the warranty period. <br /> <br />1.05 PLANTING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />A. Approvals <br /> <br />1. Planting operations shall be conJucted under favorable weather <br />conditions approved by the Owner's Representative. <br /> <br />2. Installation of plant material s shall not be permitted prior to <br />acceptance of finish grading from the Owner's Representative. <br /> <br />3. Receive approval from the Owner's ftepresentative of layout of trees, <br />shrubs, and willows and herbaceous materials before planting. <br /> <br />4. Trees to be planted shall be located by the Owner's Representative <br />in the field. <br /> <br />B. Time of Planting <br /> <br />1. Nursery grown plants (including trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, <br />and willow cuttings) shall be planted between September 1 and <br />October 15,1987 or between ~:arch 15th and April 30th, 1988 or as <br />determined by the Owner's ftepresentative. <br /> <br />C. Damage to Other Improvements <br /> <br />All costs for repair or replacement of any damage to other work done <br />on-site or on adjacent properties by installation of plant material <br />shall be borne by Contractor installing plant material. <br /> <br />PART 2 <br />2.01 <br /> <br />MATERIALS <br /> <br />PREPARED PLANT BACKFILL <br /> <br />Trees and 5 Gallon Shrubs <br /> <br />Prepared plant backfill shall consist of excavated soil and native <br />mountain peat in the following propoy.tions: 20% peat, 80~: existing <br />site soil. <br /> <br />Tube pack plants - See Soil Preparation for Shrub Beds, Section 800. <br /> <br />2.02 NATIVE MOUNTAIN PEAT <br /> <br />Native mountain peat shall be finely shredded and free of plants, <br />roots, sticks, stones, lumps, and noxio~s weeds. <br /> <br />Shredded particles shall not exceed 1/4" (one-quarter inCh) in diameter. <br />Peat (measured in air dry condition) shall contain not more than 55% <br />moisture by weight; ash content shall not exceed 20%; the acidity level <br />shall be within the pH range of 3.2-7..0; and the percentage of organic <br />
