<br />800 SOIL PREPARATION <br /> <br />PART 1 <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />101 WORK INCLUDED <br /> <br />Work in this section includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment <br />for preparation of seed, sod and shrub bed areas (tubepack, 5 qallon and BxB <br />material only) specified herein. <br /> <br />103 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />See Part 2 Materials <br /> <br />PART 2 <br /> <br />MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Native Mountain Peat <br /> <br />Native mountain peat shall be finely shredded and free of plants, roots, <br />sticks, stones, lumps and noxious weeds. <br /> <br />Shredded particles shall not exceed 1/4" (one-quarter inch) in diameter. <br />Peat (measured in air dry condition) shall contain not more than 5!i% moisture <br />by weight, ash content shall exceed 20%, the acidity level shall be within <br />the pH range of 4.5 - 7.0, and the percentage of organic matter shall be 60% <br />or greater. <br /> <br />B. Submit a sample to the Owner's ReprEsentative for approval (10) days <br />before del ivery to the site. <br /> <br />Upon request, provide the 1'011 owing infol^ma t ion: <br /> <br />Specific locations from which the sheep manure and mountain peat were <br />obtained <br /> <br />Present Owners of those properties <br /> <br />Approximate amounts of materials available <br /> <br />Test results showing mixture composition and analysis <br /> <br />PART 3 <br /> <br />EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.01 APPROVALS <br /> <br />1.
