The Contractor shall provide <br />accurate records of any field changes made during con,;truction. <br /> <br />422. SOIL INVESTIGATION <br /> <br />A subsoil investigation has been completed by Ground Engineering Consultants, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />The Owner does not represent that this report shows completely the existing <br />conditions and the Owner does not guarant"e any interpretation of the <br />information shown. The Contractor must assume all responsibility for <br />deductions and conclusions which may be made as to the nature of the material s <br />to be excavated and the difficulties of making, and maintaining, the required <br />excavations and of doing other work affected by the geology of the sites of <br />the work. <br /> <br />423. DUST CONTROL <br /> <br />The Contractor shall use measures to prevent and control dust within the <br />area affected by the project, suitable for the conditions present as to <br />satisfy the Owner. No additional compensation will be paid to the Contractor <br />for general dust control. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall clean off any soil, d'irt, or debris tracked onto any <br />adjacent streets. When notified by the O\mer that the adjacent streets <br />require cleaning, the Contractor shall clean the streets within 48 hours of <br />such notification, or the Owner shall arrange to have the streets cleaned <br />and shall deduct the cost of such cleaning f)"om the Contractor's payments. <br /> <br />424. FINAL ACCEPTANCE AND FINAL PAYMENT <br /> <br />Final acceptance and final payment for work done under this contract will <br />not be given until preliminary acceptance of the work is given by the Owner. <br /> <br />425. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br /> <br />When thE~ Contractor considers the entire work ready for its intended use, <br />the Contractor shall notify the Owner in writing that the entire work is <br />substantially complete in accordance with Section 307.1 of the General <br />Conditions of the Construction Contract. The contract time shall cease on <br />the date established following the procedures outlined in Section 307.l. <br />The Contractor will be given 30 calendar clays to complete any incompleted <br />items or accompl ish any corrective work ident i fled by the Owner in accordance <br />with Section 307.1. Should any items so identi fied by the Owner rema in <br />incompleted or uncorrected after said 30 calendar davs, the time w'ill re- <br />commence to run and the Contractor shall be assessed ~iquidated damages for <br />each calendar day the incompleted or uncorrected work remains incompleted or <br />uncorrected. <br /> <br />SC-5 <br />
