<br />426. TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> <br />Construction traffic control lump sum bid shall include all item" necessary <br />to ward, control, protect, and expedite the flow of traffic thl"Ough or near <br />the construction area. <br /> <br />This shall include, but not be limited to the following: <br /> <br />(1) Signs <br />(2) Cones <br />(3) Barricades <br />(4) Pavement markings <br />(5) Flagger control <br />(6) Flashing beacons <br />(7) Flagman <br /> <br />The Contractor shall est imate the amount of temporary tra ff'ic control <br />required to complete this work in conformance with the requirements of the <br />Nanual on Uniform Traffic Contr'ol Devices (latest edition), and these <br />spec i fica ti on. <br /> <br />The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as adopted by the Colorado <br />Division of Highways, shall govern the appi'cation of all traffic control, <br />warning and guidance devices. This shall include, but not limited to, all <br />signing, both temporary construct'ion and permanent pavement markings, <br />signalization and barricading. <br /> <br />427. PRESERVATION OF PERMANENT LAND SURVEY CONTROL MARKERS <br /> <br />Throughout the construction area there ex'ists an extensive system of <br />benchmarks and monuments installed for the purpose of maintaining a land <br />survey control grid. If any element of this system is moved to accommodate <br />the Contractor's work, the Contractor shall do so at no expense to the <br />Owner. If the Contractor destroys 01' ob'literates any such monument or <br />benchmark, the Contractor shall be requ'ired to pay for all labor, materials, <br />and equipment costs of replacing these monuments and benchmarks. All work <br />required to move, relocate or replace these monuments and benchmarks shall <br />be done under the direct supervision of a land surveyor, 1 icensed in the <br />State of Colorado. <br /> <br />428. QUALIFICATIONS OF LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR <br /> <br />The landscape contractor must demonstrate competency in successful completion <br />of similar wetlands revegetation projects. The landscape contractor shall <br />have successfully completed at least three (3) similar projects in sizes and <br />scope within the last five (5) yearS. Provide proof of bondinq for two of <br />the three projects. <br /> <br />The landscape contractor shall submit a statement of competency to the Owner <br />that includes the following: <br /> <br />I. Work performed by the contractor" in the last five years. <br /> <br />SC-6 <br />
