WORK OF SEPARATE CONTRACTOR <br /> <br />304.2 <br /> <br />304.3 <br /> <br />304.4 <br /> <br />The Owner may perform additional Work himself or contract directly with <br />any separate person or entity to have work performed on the Project. In <br />such cases, the Contractor shall cooperate fully with the Owner or <br />separate contractor with respect to the del ivery, storage and use of <br />materials and equipment on the Project Site. <br /> <br />The Contractor will be responsible for assuring the Work performed by <br />the Contractor properly fits in or joins with the Work of the Owner or <br />other contractor. <br /> <br />The Contractor will be responsible for inspection all ,Iork performed by <br />the Owner or separate contractor on the Project and reporting to the <br />Engineer any defects or deficiencies apparent after reasonable inspection. <br />Failure to report such defects or deficiencies shall be deemed the <br />Contractor's assurance that the Work is free of apparent defects and is <br />in accordance with the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />I l' the performance 0 l' add i t i ona I ,Iork by othe r c on tractors or the Owne r <br />is not noted in the Contract Documents prior to the execution of the <br />Owner-Contractor Agreement, written notice thereof shall be given to the <br />Contractor prior to starting any such additional Work. If the Contractor <br />reasonably feels that the performance of any Work by the Owner Or <br />separate Contractor requires an alteration of the Contract Time or Price <br />to enable him to properly perform his obI igations, he may make a written <br />request for such to the Engineer. <br /> <br />305. TIME AND PROGRESS OF THE WORK <br /> <br />305.1 Contract Time <br /> <br />305.1.1 Definition <br /> <br />The number of days agreed to for completion of the Project, as stated in <br />the Owner-Contractor Agreement. <br /> <br />305. [.2 All times stated in the Contract Documents or as; later amended by the <br />parties are of the essence. <br /> <br />305.1.3 In computing time periods in this Contract, described in number of days <br />for a stated date or occurrence, the day of the date or occurrence shall <br />be excluded and the last day of the periOd included. <br /> <br />305.2 Progress of the Work <br /> <br />305.2.1 Before commencing work on the Project,. the Contractor shall carefully <br />check the drawings and specifications and report in writing any apparent <br />errors or inconsistencies shall be the Contractor's certification that <br />there are none apparent. <br /> <br />GC - 7 <br />
