<br />305.2.2 The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer at Jest ten (10) days prior <br />to commencement of any Work on the Project a constructi on schedu 1 e <br />conforming to the requirements of Section 417 of the Special Conditions. <br />The Contractor shall also submit a schedule of values of the Work, and a <br />schedule of shop drawing submissions for Engineel^'s approval. The above <br />schedules shall be approved by the Engineer before Notice to Proceed <br />will be given. <br /> <br />305.2.3 Notice to Proceed <br /> <br />The Contract Time shall begin to run on the date specified in the Notice <br />to Proceed. <br /> <br />305.2.4 Commencement of the Project <br /> <br />The Contractor may begin work on th," day specified in the Notice to <br />Proceed and no work shall be done on the Project prior to the date <br />specified in the Notice to Proceed, except as a<)reed in writing by the <br />Owner and Contractor. <br /> <br />306.1 <br /> <br />306,. PAYMENTS <br /> <br />306.2 <br /> <br />306.3 <br /> <br />Application for Payment <br /> <br />At lea st ten (10) days before any pro<)ress payment may become due <br />according to the payment schedule agt'eed to by the Contractor and <br />Engineer (see paragraph 304.2.3), but not more than once a month, the <br />Contractor shall submit to the EngineE'r for rev"iew an Appl ication for <br />PaymE'nt signE'd by the Contractor, indicating the Work completed as of <br />the date of the Appl ication for Payment. <br /> <br />Payment Approva I <br /> <br />The Engineer shall review the Contractor's Application for Payment <br />within ten (10) days of its receipt. If the Project has progressed to <br />the point indicated in the Application for Payment, in the manner <br />required by the Contract Documents, ar,d is of a quality acceptable to <br />the Engineer based on his judgement, skill and experience as a profes- <br />sional design engineer, then he shal"1 forward the Appl ication for <br />Payment to the Owner recommending the requested payment be made. <br /> <br />Withheld Approval <br /> <br />The Engineer may refuse to approve an Appl ication for Payment in whole <br />or in part if he has found any part of the flork to be defective, damaged <br />or in need of repair or replacement, not completed to the point indicated <br />in the Application for Payment, not performed in an acceptable manner or <br />quality according to standards in the construction profession, or the <br />Contrac tor ha s fa i1 ed to make paym',n ts due to Subc on trac tors or othe r <br />suppliers for labor, materials or equipITI!,nt. The Engineer shall, within <br />ten (10) days of the receipt of the Appl ication for Payment either <br />approve or return the Application for Payment to the Contractor stating <br /> <br />GC - 8 <br />
