hazard zone has been designated or otherwise regulated
under these regulations. If no low hazard zone has been
so designated or regulated, then the terms "floodplain"
and "floodway zone" shall be synonymous.

(8) "Intermediate regional flood" means a type of flood, in-
cluding the water surface elevation and territorial occu-
pation thereof, which can be expected to occur at any
time in a given area based upon recorded historical pre-
cipitation and other valid data, but with an average
statistical one percent chance of being equalled or ex-
ceeded during anyone year. The term is used inter-
changeably with a one percent flood or one hundred year
flood.

(9) "Low hazard zone" means that area of the floodplain in
which the waters of an intermediate regional flood will
not attain a maximum depth greater than one and one-half
feet.

(10) "Mobile home park" means a parcel (or contiguous parcels)
of land which has been so designated and improved that it
contains two or more mobile home lots available to the
general public for rent or sale and the placement thereon
of mobile homes for occupancy. "Mobile home" includes any
mobile structures.

(11) "Nonconforming use" means any structure, development or
land use in existence on the effective date of these regu-
lations and not permitted under the terms and provisions
of these regulations.

(12) "One hundred year flood" means an intermediate regional
flood.

(13) "One percent flood" means an intermediate regional flood.

(14) "Person" means any individual, partnership, corporation,
association, company, or other public or corporate body,
including the federal government, and includes any politi-
cal subdivision, agency, instrumentality, or corporation
of the state.

(15) "Stream" means any natural channel or depression through
which water flows either continuously, intermittently or
periodically, including any artificial modific~tion of
the natural channel or depression.

(16) "Structure" means a walled and roofed buildinCj that is
primarily above ground and affixed to a permanent site,
as well as a mobile home.
