<br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />2-203 <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />governing body shall promptly take such action with respect <br />to such recommendation as may be appropriate and practical. <br />Any application for a permit to conduct a development in a <br />mineral resource initial control area shall not be consid- <br />ered complete or be accepted unless and until it is accom- <br />panied by the results of any studies needed to determine <br />whether the proposed development is located in a mineral <br />resource area. <br /> <br />(4) The necessary studies referred to in subsection 2-202(3) of <br />these regulations shall be conducted in conformance with <br />404(6) of these regulations and may be financed by this juris- <br />diction, the applicant for a permit, or otherwise. <br /> <br />(5) Upon completion of the study of the area, the administrator <br />shall inform the applicant in writing whether the site of <br />his/her proposed development or activity lies within any of <br />the following: <br /> <br />(a) An area containing a commercial mineral deposit of lime- <br />stone used for construction purposes, sand, gravel, or <br />quarry aggregate, in which case further processing of <br />the application shall be governed by sections 2-203, <br />2-404, and 2-405, below. <br /> <br />(b) An area containing commercial mineral deposits of oil <br />and gas or geothermal resources, in which case further <br />processing of the application shall be governed by <br />sections 2-204, 2-404, and 2-405, below. <br /> <br />(c) An area containing any other commercial mineral deposit <br />not included in (a) or (b) above, in which case further <br />processing of the application shall be governed by <br />sections 2-205, 2-404, and 2-405, below. <br /> <br />(d) None of the above, in which case none of the provisions of <br />this chapter shall have any further force or effect with <br />respect to the permit application which prompted such <br />study and determination. <br /> <br />Uses in Designated Mineral Resource Areas Containing Only Sand, <br />Gravel, Quarry Aggregate, or Limestone Used for Construction <br />Purposes. <br /> <br />(1) The following uses shall be considered allowable uses: <br /> <br />(a) Agricultural uses such as general farming, grazing, truck- <br />farming, forestry, sod farming, and wild crop harvesting; <br /> <br />(b) Public and private recreational uses not requiring perma- <br />nent structures such as parks, natural swimming areas, <br />golf courses, driving ranges, picnic grounds, wildlife <br /> <br />-6- <br />
